The Zabzugu Youth Association has congratulated Mr. Alhassan Umar Abaako, the Member of Parliament-elect on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the 2024 general elections. The Zabzugu constituency is one of the constituencies recaptured by the NDC in the Northern Region. The party has won 11 parliamentary seats out of the 18 constituencies in the region.

Chairman of the youth, Mr. Yakubu Abdul Majeed, in a statement copied to GINA News Room said, “We, the executives and members of the Zabzugu Youth Association, extend our heartfelt congratulations to you on your victory in the recent parliamentary elections. May Almighty Allah protect, guide, and lead you to achieve your developmental goals.”

However, the chairman in the statement has called on the Member of Parliament-elect to prioritize the development of the constituency over and above all other things. He further pledged the readiness to assist the lawmaker and the incoming John Mahama led National Democratic Congress administration in accelerating progress in the Zabzugu district.

Peaceful Election

Mr. Yakubu Abdul Majeed has also commended the leadership and supporters of the New Patriotic Party and National Democratic Congress in the Zabzugu constituency for ensuring a peaceful election. He emphasized this achievement is a testament to the growing political maturity of the youth, who have demonstrated their commitment to democratic values.

“We would like to take this opportunity to commend all citizens of the area, particularly the leadership of the NDC and NPP, for their role in ensuring a peaceful election” he stated.
