Bawumia Mourns With Dr Anyars, Haruna Iddrisu, Over Passing Of Parents

The Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has mourned with the family of Dr Ibrahim Anyars, the Deputy Campaign Manager in charge of Presidential for the Bawumia Campaign in the December 7, 2024, general election over the passing of his father, Sheikh Alhaji Mohammed Baba Repairer.

Similarly,the Vice President also graced the final funeral rites of the late Hajia Mariama Alidu, mother of the former Minority Leader and Member of Parliament for Tamale South constituency, Hon Haruna Iddrisu, to commiserate with the family.

The bereaved families of the two political stalwarts organized the final Islamic funeral rites of their beloved parents yesterday Sunday (December 22, 2024) simultaneously in the Tamale metropolis. Mourners from all walks of life in the country and abroad traveled to the region to observe the rituals of the deceased persons.

Dr Bawumia was accompanied by some government appointees notably among them were the Deputy Chief of Staff, Alhaji Ali Fawaz, Ministers of State including the Finance Minister, Dr Mohammed Amin Adam, Deputy Transport Minister and MP for Gushegu, Hon Alhassan Tampuli, former Majority Leader, Hon Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu, Ghana Hajj Board Chairman, Alhaji Ben Abdallah, CEO of National Petroleum Authority, Dr Mustapha Abdul Hamid, Members of Parliament and dozens of New Patriotic Party bigwigs

The National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Shaributu also led a high-powered delegation to participate in the late Baba repairer.

Meanwhile, the Finance Minister, Dr Mohammed Amin Adam, in a brief statement on behalf of Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, thanked all traditional and religious leaders in the Northern Region as well as party sympathizers for the unwavering support they offered him during the 2024 general elections.

He made a clarion call to all NPP members to remain calm as the party navigates the turbulent period of the election defeat, emphasizing that God’s time is the best.
