Mr. Krobea Kwabena Asante, a former campaign team member and aide to former Vice President of Ghana, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has taken a swipe at former political appointees of the erstwhile Akufo-Addo led New Patriotic Party government following the embarrassing defeat the party suffered in the 2024 general elections.

The former Coordinator for the Bawumia campaign on social media on his Facebook page dated Thursday, February 6, said, “You have lost power and still want to be a CEO as a political appointee? Move”.

“Next time you will campaign for the candidate and not play neutral” he added.

Though the post did not mention specific personalities, but it however demonstrated the apparent disappointment of the latter.

Meanwhile, the NPP constituted an Election Review Committee to engagement with relevant stakeholders for a comprehensive and inclusive review of the party’s performance in the 2024 parliamentary and presidential elections.

The exercise aims to gather diverse perspectives, address challenges encountered during the elections, and develop strategies to enhance the party’s growth and success in future elections.

Some NPP supporters in the wake of the loss attributed the defeat to the neglect of the party grassroot and the conduct of some government appointees.
