Our Mantra Is ‘Touch One, Touch All’ – Afenyo Markin Warns NDC

The outgoing Majority Leader, Alexander Afenyo Markin, has said the mantra of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Caucus in the 9th Parliament is “Touch One, Touch All” as the Mahama led National Democratic Congress takes over governance of the State tomorrow Tuesday January 7, 2024.

The incoming Minority Leader has also condemned the establishment of the Operation Recover All Loot popularly referred to as ORAL by the President-Elect, John Dramani Mahama as part of his campaign promise to fight corruption in the country. He further described the idea as illegal and unconstitutional.

“Mr. Speaker, let me remind my colleagues that the incoming Minority caucus have a mantra and I will disclose the mantra to them – Touch One, Touch All. We’re not going to allow you to use any unconstitutional means to shut us up – to frustrate people, to chase people into their homes” he emphasized.

He added the NPP Minority caucus would stand firm and collective to ensure that they stop any injustice towards any appointee of the outgoing Akufo-Addo government.

The Majority Leader stressed the need for the incoming John Mahama led administration to allow the laws of the country to work. “Mr. Speaker in 1996, the election delivered 133 seats for the NDC and only 61 for the NPP – that was a Minority of consciences, however, mini it minority was” Mr. Afenyo Markin recounted.
